To improve on the overall baseball experience of our kids, the Little League Board has made some modifications to the age groupings of our existing divisions, and added one new division. The Official League rules for each division can be found in the DOCUMENTS section of the HLL website. Divisions and ages will be as follows:
All players who are HLL age 13 through 15.
All players who are HLL age 12, HLL age 11, or HLL age 10 are eligible to be drafted to play in the Major League. A player who does not attend at least two tryout sessions may be excluded from the draft. Each player must attend at least one fielding session. Attendance at a hitting session is highly recommended, but not required.
Typically, players HLL age 10 or 11 are eligible for the Black Minors. While not mandatory, players are strongly encouraged to attend the evaluation sessions, so that coaches can familiarize themselves with all players and work toward parity amongst teams.
This is the transitional year between the pitching machine and kid pitch, and players are Little League age 9. While not mandatory, players are strongly encouraged to attend the evaluation sessions, so that coaches can familiarize themselves with all players and work toward parity amongst teams.
